Inter striker Crespo passes best wishes to Young Post readers

YOUNG POST readers in low spirits and stuck at home have received a message of support from Argentinian superstar striker Hernan Crespo.

There are many Italian League fans in Hong Kong, and the Inter Milan golden boy has acknowledged them and said he hopes his football can bring some relief from tough times in the SAR.

In an e-mail sent from the club he said: 'It's great to know myself and the Nerazzurri (Inter Milan) have so many fans in Hong Kong and that they are so dedicated to this very wonderful sport.

'I wish them well and hope Inter can win something this season to put a smile on their faces - thanks for all your support!'

Inter Milan could reach the European Champions League semi-finals if they beat Valencia in the quarter final second leg next Tuesday.

They could still win the Serie A title too.

'We've done well away from home in Europe this season. We've scored against Rosenborg in Norway, against Ajax in Amsterdam, away to Newcastle and away to Bayer Leverkusen.

'Away from home we're often given more room on the pitch by our opponents. If that happens, we punish them...

'We're still in the running in both competitions, we need good results that will keep the pressure on Juventus at the top of the table.

'On a personal level, I'm satisfied with how I played in my return to action against Valencia [in the European Champions League last week].

'But I still need to play more matches to get back to my best.'

Inter play at Brescia in a Serie A match tomorrow. Cable TV's i-cable.com service will show the match live at 9pm.

Serie A leaders Juventus are at home to Roma tomorrow. The match will be shown live at 2am on Cable Sports (Channel Six).
