Power play pays off

The Vancouver Canucks scored three power-play goals, and Dan Cloutier made 16 saves with a little help from the posts as the Canucks beat the Minnesota Wild 3-2 yesterday morning to take a 2-1 lead in their National Hockey League Western Conference playoff series.

Game Four is Saturday morning in St Paul.

In yesterday morning's other game, it was Ottawa 3, Philadelphia 2 after overtime. Ottawa leads the series 2-1. Game Four is tomorrow morning.
