The closest I've come to French culture is eating at a Delifrance. I like the versatile nature of French food. Especially the baguette: you can make a sandwich with it, or most interestingly, use it as a baseball bat.

I'd have to say the food. I'm not talking about the industrial imitations you get in Delifrance, but the real stuff. For instance the way you feel when you smell a fresh croissant and some cafe au lait. Essentially, I admire the pride they have in making their food.

France is the most romantic, artistic place where the cuisine is the best and the people aren't afraid to go skinny-dipping. Best aspect? It's undoubtedly the French peoples' opposition to America's invasion of Iraq, despite the fact that Americans retaliated with anger by renaming French fries Freedom fries.
