LOW-OCCUPANCY HOTEL SEES POOR RESULT

Harbour Centre Development, a hotel unit of Wharf (Holdings), has issued a warning on its half-year result to June 30 with the Sars outbreak hitting room occupancy. It said the occupancy rate of its Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui had fallen to 10 per cent compared with 83 per cent a year earlier. The company's share fell 5 HK cents to HK$5.35 yesterday.
