Record label EMI has come up with an unusual but fun way to encourage students to learn English - by translating Chinese lyrics into the language.

This week they will be running a couple of competitions asking Young Post readers to translate the Chinese lyrics of two songs - by Edmond Leung Hon-man and Ronald Cheng - into English. The best entries will win some fabulous prizes from EMI. The record company believes that music - especially through listening to and singing English songs - can help students learn the language in an enjoyable way. Young Post has run another popular competition with EMI in which readers were invited to interpret the lyrics of Robbie Williams' smash hit Feel. Read this week's Young Post to find out more about the latest competitions!
