Red Babies

Chinese artist Yu Chen provides an insight into how aspects of portraiture are now a major part of Chinese contemporary art. Summer Piano Fiesta IV

The series closes with the Hong Kong-born musician Cheng Wai, who has won numerous awards, including the New York Olga Koussevitsky Piano Competition. Wave 2003

The annual showcase for the best of local performing art, this year's event looks at cross-disciplinary practice and will promote experimental theatre when video, ceramic, and installation artists will join the WAVE performing groups. Hong Kong Drum Festival

The Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra is holding the festival from until October, and aims to set a record with the opening concert. The Synergising Our Hong Kong Opening Rally aims to set a Guinness world record with a 2,000-strong ensemble of drummers and the unveiling of the world's biggest peace drum. Sun, 4pm. Free. Good Wind Like Water

Zuni Icosahedron presents two 50-minute multimedia performances featuring traditional Song Dynasty poems. Good Wind features Kunqu Opera artist Shi Xiaomei and Taiwanese popster Valen Hsu in a reinterpretation of Yongyule (The Joy Of Everlasting Encounter) by Song poet Su Shi. The Sleeping Beauty
