Real Madrid 'too pricey' for Asia

Real Madrid are caught in a public relations storm in Asia, clouding their planned appearance in Hong Kong early next month.

The Asian Football Confederation has urged its members to shun deals with the Spanish soccer club after Malaysia became the latest to reject their hefty appearance fee demands for a match with the national team. This followed similar rejections by the Chinese Football Association and counterparts in Singapore.

It is not known if the pullouts will affect Real's match against a Hong Kong side on August 8.
