Police officers injured in fight with drug suspect

Two policemen were injured when a drug suspect put up a struggle during a street check in Kowloon City. The two constables stopped the man, 27, at the junction of Prince Edward Road and Shing Nam Road just before 5am, but the suspect allegedly punched one of the officers and fled on foot. The man was stopped at the junction of Prince Edward Road and Lung Kong Road, where the struggle continued. Officers overpowered him and allegedly seized 8.4 grams of the designer drug Ice. The two injured constables and the suspect, who complained that he had an injured shoulder, were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
