POLICE TO SEEK ADVICE ON BUS CRASH CHARGES

Police plan to seek legal advice from the Department of Justice on whether to press charges against the driver of a container truck involved in last month's Tuen Mun bus accident that killed 21 passengers. The KMB double-decker plunged 30 metres off a flyover on Tuen Mun Road after a collision with the truck. A decision is expected once the probe into the tragedy is completed. Police said they needed more time to compile the report as they were still waiting for analysis reports from government chemists. The 53-year-old truck driver had his bail extended for two months when he reported back to police last week.
