I AM a polytechnic graduate (higher diploma holder) and have an interest in teaching.

  Therefore, after I had finished my graduation exams last year, I directly contacted primary schools by phone.

  However, they all said that I was not suitable for their teaching posts when I told them that I was a polytechnic graduate.

  I was so frustrated and wondered why a polytechnic graduate should be refused the chance to work in teaching. Would the Education Department explain what its policy is towards polytechnic graduates who are interested in teaching.
