Germany's Udo Lindenberg (left) is teaming up with China's rock legend Cui Jian to bring Lindenberg's rock musical Atlantic Affairs to China.

The musical, which tells the story of artists who fled to the United States from Nazi Germany, toured Germany earlier this year, selling out of most of its performances. The show will be staged early next year in Shanghai and Beijing by a combined cast of Chinese and German performers.

Lindenberg first heard about Cui Jian last year when he was in a blues club in Shanghai. He contacted the old rocker and invited him to play concerts in Germany. They announced that they would put on this musical together a few days ago during Lindenberg's trip to China, where they were seen awkwardly jamming together.
