Get down and dig deep for causes that should not be forgotten amid all the festival star-gazing.

Funkraiser (The Music Room Live, 2/F, California Entertainment Building, 34-36 D'Aguilar Street, Central. Tomorrow, 9pm-4am. Tickets $100) kicks off the good intentions tomorrow night with its fourth event in support of the Child Welfare Scheme in Nepal, a charity that builds day-care and vocational training centres in the Himalayas. DJs Daddy Vegas, Steve Bruce, Simon Pang and Doggy will spin old-school tunes.

No such thing as a school night for the Hong Kong Aids Foundation and Asian Events Partners, which offers up Gotta Party (Wednesday, 9.30pm, One Bar+Grill, 1 Exchange Square. Tickets $230 in advance/$250 at door. Inquiries: 2817 1468).

Local favourites DJ Kulu and the Ultra Lounge providing the sexy beats and a lingerie fashion show from designer label-laden Private Shop will keep the temperature high.
