Racing to help raise funds
MSF Orienteering Competition 2004, jointly organised by international charity Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) Hong Kong and Commercial Radio, will be launched at New Town Plaza I in Sha Tin tomorrow.
You are invited to join the annual sporting event. Started in 2001, the competition aims to introduce MSF's work to the public while raising funds for its operations in more than 80 countries.
Contestants will be given only a map and a compass to navigate a challenging course to collect points. Some 1,800 people took part in the competition last year, raising more than $1.8 million.
The junior category of the competition, open to youths aged 10 to 16, will be held on January 11. For more information visit www.orienteering.msf.org.hk
