Bmw (and Cityseen) ride to the rescue

Tinnie Chow

There's just one day to go before the Hong Kong premiere of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill. The launch at the Grand Ocean cinema in Tsim Sha Tsui has a guest list including Gordon Liu (who stars in the movie), fellow veteran martial artist Lau Ka-wing, director Teddy Chen and actor Michael Tse Tin-wah, to mention a few.

But celebs alone do not a glitzy premiere make, and promoter Pan Asia had lined up an Uma Thurman lookalike. Not so easy to secure was her yellow motorbike.

The plans looked set to crash and burn after an agent for an Italian motorcycle brand offered a prohibitive estimate to borrow one of its bikes. But CitySeen rode to the rescue and helped secure an even better bike from BMW's Jason Broome, who was kind enough to lend a F650 GS in return for a few movie tickets.
