IN a move that will make popular desktop databases easily accessible from Windows-based applications, Microsoft has announced Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) Desktop Database Drivers version 1.0.

   The ODBC Desktop Database Drivers can be used in conjunction with existing applications that support ODBC and as a tool for developing new applications.

  ODBC Desktop Database Drivers version 1.0 will be available from Microsoft distributors ACA-Pacific Ltd, System-Pro and Tech Pacific Ltd at a suggested retail price of HK$392.
