It's in the bag

Tinnie Chow

You can't be too careful transporting a $10 million artefact around the streets of Hong Kong. Moving such a valuable commodity would obviously take a lot of meticulous planning, massive security or incredible guile.

Two PR execs at Corporate Communications Limited decided to use feminine cunning.

The treasure in question: a mysterious Hong Kong racing trophy dating back to 1852. Wrapping up their prize in bubble wrap and tissue paper, they popped the trophy into a run-of-the-mill ParknShop bag. The two women proceeded to stroll through Central to a secret meeting where they would get the trophy photographed for a Sunday Morning Post article by reporter Anna Healy Fenton.

Renamed the 'Banker's Cup', the silver trophy was recently recovered from a vault in Uruguay. It was purchased by an unnamed philanthropist who will auction it off for charity at Lloyds TSB offshore offices on November 3.
