I wish to complain about the deplorable service provided by PCCW's Netvigator.
On October 10, I received an advice that an e-mail that I had sent had not been delivered for the following reason: 'Server is transmitting unsolicited email to AOL. Based on AOL's Unsolicited Bulk Email policy ... AOL cannot accept further email transmissions from this server.'
I gather this means that if you want your message to go through to an AOL account do not use Netvigator, since Netvigator has not got its house in order.
I called the Netvigator hotline and after much pushing of buttons I got through to technical support, whereupon a recording told me this service was not available. 'Please call later,' the announcement said.
I then spent half an hour trying to get through again, and finally spoke to an operator who invited me to fax the message I had received. This I did, and received no reply. Next day I faxed again and again got no reply.
On October 13, I phoned the hotline, and received the 'we are busy' message. I then faxed again, but although the number rang it did not accept my fax. I spent a further 10 minutes phoning again, and got through to the technical support supervisor.
