A precaution against mosh-pit madness?

Tinnie Chow

The Rockit festival brought thousands of people to Victoria Park over the weekend. Both the bands and the audience loved the feeling of this outdoor, never-been-done-in-HK-before musical showcase. From drum and bass to salsa and rock, the festival seemed to please young and old.

Regurgitator (right), the Aussie Rage Against the Machine-esque mosh machine, pleaded with the crowds to get the word out: 'Tell 20 people you know about how great Rockit was this weekend, so that we can do this every year.' It was their fourth time in Hong Kong and they clearly love this city - in fact, they joked about moving here. Not really blending in with the crowd with what looked like a colourful N95 mask and an armful of other hygiene supplies, one fan (left) stayed on for the whole performance, and didn't seem bothered at all by the stares.
