Irvine-Halliday's innovative light bulb, using white-light emitting diodes with a lifespan of 35 to 40 years, provides light for thousands of homes in India, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
On April 4, 1962, James Hanratty was hanged for murder and rape, launching one of the longest and most bitter appeal campaigns in the history of British justice. Hanratty's supporters believe he was wrongfully convicted, the victim of dubious evidence. Now science can reveal the real truth.
