Rappers delight at wedding

Tinnie Chow

Local rap group LMF, who disbanded recently, reunited for one night only - performing at Josie Ho Chiu-yee's wedding celebrations on Friday night at the Hong Kong Country Club.

They showed off their versatility by singing to the music of the City Chamber Orchestra, with a few covers - Purple Rain and a couple of Metallica ballads - thrown in.

The band said they split up because they couldn't make enough money, understandable given their 10-plus member lineup. For LMF fans not on the wedding guest list, don't despair. They have expressed an interest in performing together again, perhaps under a different name and maybe even with the orchestra.

With songs like Purple Rain, these boys are beginning to show their softer side, or was it just a show for Stanley Ho Hung-sen.
