A show that will get the audience thinking
Be prepared to question your life after seeing Edward Lam Theatre's re-run of the production The Happy Prince.
The well-received theatre drama, which first appeared at last year's Hong Kong Arts Festival, will be staged four more times at Kwai Tsing Theatre Auditorium next week.
Tickets for the shows have been sold out in just three days.
Directed by Edward Lam Yick-wah, the performance is inspired by classic Irish writer Oscar Wilde's The Happy Prince.
The story is about the personal conflicts and choices an ambitious young lawyer Daniel (played by heartthrob Daniel Wu Yin-cho) faces in life.
'In this drama, lines are not used as a story-telling tool. The audience will need to think while listening to the lines,' Lam said.
'The story is just the skeleton of the performance. What we want to illustrate is the conflict, the process of growing and making choices.'
