Unregistered staff at tg holborn fined

Hong Kong's securities regulator has prosecuted a TG Holborn staff member for acting as an investment representative without being registered. Moy Kwok Chiu was the third executive of TG Holborn, a registered investment adviser, to have been convicted of the same offence since September, the Securities and Futures Commission said. He joined the firm as a consultant.

Lands department approves projects

The Lands Department has issued pre-sale consents for three residential projects involving 1,925 units. The biggest is a residential project owned by Hang Lung Properties in West Kowloon, which will provide 1,833 flats. The Lands Department said the three projects should be completed between February next year and February 2005.

Pair banned for stripping gem-listed firm of $30m

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong yesterday publicly censured two former executives of GEM-listed International Capital Network (Holdings) for stripping the finance company of $30 million in cash 'to third parties' between October 7 and 24 last year. The reprimand on the pair for breaching their director's undertakings came several months after the Securities and Futures Commission had banned them - Daniel Hui Chuen-kin and Michael Lui Bing-kin - from trading for two years starting from June 17 this year following breaches of the takeover code.
