Hong Kong Repertory Theatre's forthcoming production, A Small Family Business, starring award-winning actor Anthony Wong Chau-sang, has received an overwhelming response from the public, creating a new ticket-sales record for recent theatre productions.

Tickets were sold out in just three days. The 16 shows are part of next year's Hong Kong Arts Festival programme and will be staged at the Cultural Centre Studio Theatre in March.

Directed by veteran theatre artists Fredric Mao Chun-fai and Roy Szeto Wai-cheuk, the play is an adaptation of English screenwriter Alan Ayckbourn's black comedy.

The drama portrays a nice young man Jack (played by Wong), who inherits his father-in-law's business in Shenzhen only to discover that someone inside the company has been leaking secrets of the trade.
