Jewellery robber caught in the act

A man was arrested while robbing a jewellery shop in Chai Wan. Police said a man, 46, threatened a 62-year-old shop assistant at the store in Chai Wan Road at 11am. The owner and another employee managed to slip out and call the police. The robber had been given two trays of gold ornaments worth $70,000 but had demanded more. A policeman entered the shop and arrested him.

$33,000 drugs haul

Police arrested a man, 52, and seized $33,000 worth of heroin, the designer drug Ice and cannabis when they raided his 13th-floor unit at the Metropole Building in King's Road, North Point, at 1.30am.
