RACE ONE, GRIFFINS, 1,000 METRES (TURF)
Great Win was highly impressive when winning an 800 metres turf trial in mid-January and looks set to take all the beating today. Man On The Moon has shown promise in his work and trials and has each-way claims. Wonderful Boy has displayed positive improvement in his work in recent weeks, capped off by a solid effort in an 800 metres turf trial. Legionnaire has worked in a stylish manner, finding the line strongly in his turf trial over 800 metres.
RACE TWO, RATED 40-0 (C5), 2,000 METRES (TURF)
Tori Top has picked up the quality of his work markedly since his run on New Year's Day and is primed to run well again. Fortune Lad looks in superb order and his final 1,200 metres gallop (1:28.7) was nice work. Lok Wah Treasure looks fit and well and worked strongly over 1,200 metres under Anton Marcus in his final gallop. We're Buddies looks fitter now and can improve.
RACE THREE, GROUP 1, 1,000 METRES (TURF)
Silent Witness won a dirt trial on January 13 and has worked in an awesome manner in a series of gallops. Century Star has improvement to come, but his work and trials have been very good. Firebolt worked nicely on the riverside for Anton Marcus on Thursday morning in full race gear of blinkers and shadow roll, and is set to run a top race.
RACE FOUR, RATED 60-40 (C4), 1,200 METRES (DIRT)
Doucai worked strongly over 400 metres (25.5) in his final preparation and is fit and well. Star Warrior shaped very nicely in his dirt trial on January 27 and is spot-on for this test. Pretty Trio showed a little improvement in his dirt trial on January 20, and his subsequent work has been excellent. Shogun continues to work with plenty of zest and looks fit. Dragon Stride lengthened out well in his turf gallop on Thursday when clocking 48.7 for Glyn Schofield.
RACE FIVE, RATED 60-40 (C4), 1,400 METRES (TURF)
Winning Emperor looks fitter now and his final 1,200 metres gallop (1:20.2) was better work. Kid Galaxy worked nicely over 800 metres in his final gallop and improvement can be expected. Pleasant Journey has not impressed in his work or trials and may need more time. King Of Spades has taken his last run on January 7 very well and looks fit. Timber City continues to work in a nice manner and his work since his last run on January 4 has been faultless.
RACE SIX, RATED 60-40 (C4), 1,600 METRES (TURF)
Noble Wind displayed marked improvement in his last couple of gallops. He looks much fitter since his last run on January 10 and a better effort is expected today. Speeding Molly is taking his racing extremely well and remains in good order. Being Famous looks fitter now and worked in a steady fashion over 400 metres in his final breeze up. The Only One has been working better with the blinkers applied and similar improvement can be expected today.
RACE SEVEN, RATED 80-60 (C3), 1,200 METRES (TURF)
Happy Together looks fitter for his only run this season (January 4) and his final 800 metres gallop was excellent work. Scintillation is back to working near his best and his turf gallop was sterling work. San Lorenzo remains in great condition and his final 800 metres (54.8) was sound. Happy Partners has shown potential in his work and can improve with the move to Sha Tin. Magical Lot looks fit and well and his final 800 metres gallop was better.
RACE EIGHT, RATED 75-55 (C3), 1,800 METRES (DIRT)
Holy Quest looks in superb condition and his final couple of gallops have been faultless. Czar Of Prussia looks in tremendous condition and his final 800 metres gallop (58.1) was excellent despite the moderate time. Sugar And Spice is maintaining his condition and worked well in his last 800 metres gallop. Explosive Power looks in great shape and his recent work has been good.
RACE NINE, RATED 115-90 (C1), 1,600 METRES (TURF)
Summerland has picked up the quality of his work markedly with the blinkers applied and must be given another chance. Saturn looks distinctly fitter following his run on December 20 and is worth keeping safe. Native Dream has finished well back in his trials, but there have been some positive signs in his work. Bullish Luck worked very well over 800 metres (50.3) and is set to run up to his mark.
RACE TEN, RATED 95-75 (C2), 1,800 METRES (TURF)
Shane has progressed even further from his run on January 10 and his final 1,200 metres gallop was sound work. Winning Kevin has displayed a good deal more zest in his work with the blinkers applied and can improve. Sangreal shaped much better in his final 400 metres gallop and looks fitter now. Jazz Beat continues to impress in his work and worked home strongly in his dirt trial on January 27, suggesting he remains in tip-top condition.
