A fair price

The competition is heating up, with potential buyers already showing interest in buying a film poster for My Fair Lady, which starred the beautiful Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison. The film, which was released in 1964 in the United States, was shown in East Germany three years later and the poster was used in the former communist country.

According to Christopher Bailey from Picture This Limited: 'This is one of the rarest film posters in the world. I had never seen it before buying it from a poster dealer in Europe a few months ago. Since then, I have not been able to track another one down for sale anywhere in the world. We have not yet set a price, but it will go for around $15,000.'

The Big Film Poster Show, which begins tomorrow and continues till March 6, will display a wide range of 'original cinematic art'. The show will include a poster for Breakfast at Tiffany's, which is worth $50,000 (the price being jacked up by interest from Japanese buyers). Meanwhile, Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon is expected to fetch $5,000.
