Students from two international schools will spend an energetic afternoon today flexing their climbing muscles in a friendly competition.

The event, starting at 4pm, will be hosted by Chinese International School (CIS). The other team is West Island School. A total of 16 students will take part in the two-hour competition.

Each student will climb an 11-metre-high wall five times and compare their times.

The participants have been undergoing intensive training and are ready to face the challenge head-on.

'Climbing is very popular in our school, and our climbing club was established four years ago,' says CIS coach Stephen Kos.

'We have never been invited for climbing competitions, so probably, this is the first-ever climbing match between international schools.'
