Three men suspected of involvement in a highway robbery of minibus passengers this month were arrested yesterday.

Two mobile phones which were among seven stolen from passengers during the February 4 robbery on Tai Po Road were found in the home of one of the suspects. They were arrested during an operation by the regional crime unit of New Territories North police which started at about noon.

During the robbery, three men armed with knives and a pistol hijacked a minibus and stole phones and $17,000 from passengers. A similar hijacking took place four months earlier.
