Five set to tackle desert

FIVE intrepid adventurers leave Hong Kong this morning for Kashgar in the west of China's Xinjiang Autonomous Region to attempt the first walk across the Taklamakan Desert. The 70-day expedition with 30 camels is being led by retired British Army Major Charles Blackmore across the desert whose name translates as ''he who goes in does not come out''.
