Tinnie Chow

A coterie of jewellery-loving socialites made a beeline for IFC Mall in Central for the grand opening of the latest de Grisogono boutique. The cocktail party for the exclusive Swiss watchmaker and jeweller was hosted by the chairman of Times Legend (Asia Pacific) Kevin Chau and his wife, Reina.

More than 100 people attended the event, including Pansy Ho, Michelle Cheng and socialites Andrew and Yvette Yuen.

Also attending were businessmen William Ma Ching-wai (chairman of Tai Sang Land Development), style guru Bonnie Gokson (sister of fashion queen Joyce Ma), Kam Kwok-leung (Metro Radio boss), designers Dennis Chan and Rowena U with husband George Chen, and the founder of de Grisogono, Fawaz Gruosi, who flew in from Geneva.

Pansy and Yvette were said to have snapped up more than one handcrafted watch, while Michelle  had to wait for advice from her banking mother, Mignonne Cheng (deputy chief executive of BNP Paribas). What a way to avoid impulsive buys.
