Lamma Island

Dear Sir,

The reason the Scots got a decent cheer for scoring against France was because the English cheered for Scotland ('The Good, The Bad of the Sevens' - Sunday Sport, April 4).

This does not happen the other way around. Despite that, by far the biggest and, for this Englishman, most impressive sound of the Sevens was the singing of God Save The Queen before the final. It topped all else.

I am surprised Mr Wadsworth didn't notice it. But then perhaps he is not an Englishman!

Peter Berry

Editor's note: Bill Wadsworth is English and stood up for the national anthem.
