Chief Justice appoints five new senior counsels

Updated at 6.51pm: Honourable Chief Justice Andrew Li Kwok-nang on Wednesday announced the appointment of five senior counsels.

They are: Horace Wong Yuk-lun, Eric Kwok Tung-ming, Peter Ng Kar-fai, Anderson Chow Ka-ming, and Peter Norman Duncan.

The appointments will take effect from the date of the Instrument of Appointment on May 15.

Mr Wong, aged 43, is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Mr Kwok, aged 44, served on the Legal Aid Review Board in 2002. He is currently a member of the Incorporated Duty Lawyer Services.

Mr Ng, aged 41, is a member of the Barristers Disciplinary Tribunal Panel.

Mr Chow, aged 39, is chairman of the Appeal Tribunal (Buildings), a member of the Special Committee on Discipline of the Hong Kong Bar Association, and a member of the Disciplinary Panel of the Hong Kong Society of Accountants.

Mr Duncan, aged 57, has been in private practice since 1998, and has experience in both the criminal and civil fields.
