Sharp has launched the latest B5 series AQUOS LCD TV in Hong Kong, with a built-in PC card slot and a sophisticated slim-line design to offer the highest standard in A/V entertainment.
The LC-20B5H model features a PC card Type II slot for viewing JPEG images and MPEG4 video recording and playback. Users have an optional memory card to record videos or capture still images from TV programmes, and they can pre-set the timer to record as many as eight programmes up to one month in advance.
Functions to enhance still picture playback include slideshow mode, index playback and My Programme for storing favourites in preferred order. Recorded images can be rotated 90 degrees clockwise or anticlockwise (as in an ordinary digital still camera) for proper display on the TV.
The new B5 series features Sharp's Advanced Super View low-reflection black TFT LCD, specifically developed for LCD TVs to deliver high-contrast pictures with crisp, richly saturated blacks (even in brightly lit rooms).
In addition, the LC-20B5H is fitted with Sharp's proprietary QS (Quick Shoot) technology, which reduces the visual lag inherent in fast-motion scenes, and a high-quality I/P (Interlaced-to-Progressive) conversion circuit that virtually eliminates jitter and flicker for clear, smooth, high-contrast pictures.
The LC-20B5H also sports a new Side-Speaker Design by acclaimed industrial designer Toshiyuki Kita.
The speaker sections feature a self-enclosed speaker box and bass-reflex enclosures for powerful sound.
Other aspects of the model are low-energy consumption and a 60,000 hours' long-life backlight.http://sharp-world.com/index.html
