Ventures flock to Zhejiang

ZHEJIANG province had approved 3,074 foreign-funded ventures to the end of August, involving a total contracted investment of US$2.57 billion, Xinhua (the New China News Agency) reports.

In the same period, the province used $593 million in foreign capital, equalling the total amount over the previous 13 years.

A local official said businessmen from 69 countries and regions had invested in the coastal province, with investors interested in basic and service industries.
