A Hong Kong delegation will meet Ministry of Health officials today to assess the risk of the mainland's latest Sars outbreak to the city.

The delegation is led by Permanent Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food Carrie Yau Tsang Ka-lai and includes the controller of the Centre for Health Protection, Leung Pak-yin.

Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food Yeoh Eng-kiong said practices at Hong Kong laboratories handling the virus were being reviewed. 'We can never be complacent,' he said.

Six laboratories in Hong Kong conduct Sars tests, but only two deal with live viruses: the Department's of Health's Public Health Laboratory Centre and the University of Hong Kong's laboratory.
