Celebrity slip-up

Have you seen Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey's reality TV show, Newlyweds, on MTV Southeast Asia shown on Now Broadband TV?

Simpson has become famous, or should I say infamous, for her 'Is it chicken or is it tuna?' comment while eating from a tin of Chicken of the Sea tuna (a US brand) amongst other horribly embarrassing moments.

And now she's released an album, In This Skin, seemingly rushed out to capitalise on her new-found celebrity.

Simpson does nothing to distinguish herself from today's teenybopper icons - Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

With You and Sweetest Sin are the strongest songs on the album, but that isn't saying much.

Everyday See You and You Don't Have to Let Go are totally forgettable.

And, all you die-hard Top Gun fans out there, avoid Simpson's cover of Take My Breath Away at all costs.

The album, like Simpson's TV show, is mediocre at best - but at least you get a few chuckles out of Newlyweds.
