Two more arrested in child porn inquiry


Two more men will appear in court today on child pornography charges after being arrested yesterday. Police said the men, aged 38 and 43, were picked up in connection with their operation, codenamed Stormrider. Twenty men have now been arrested since Monday. Thirteen have been charged with possession of child pornography and five have been released on bail. The operation is continuing.


Elderly woman lucky in leap from her flat


A 75-year-old woman cheated death when she leapt from her 15th-floor flat and landed on a clothes rack one floor down. She was found on the 14th-floor rack in Tai Tung House, Wong Tai Sin, at about 9am. Three neighbours pulled her inside and called the police. She is in stable condition at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.


Cocaine seized


Police last night arrested a 51-year-old man in a hotel in Yau Ma Tei and seized about 5kg of cocaine with a market value of $5.2 million. Officers believe the drugs were intended for sale in clubs in the area.


cyclist attacked, robbed


A cyclist was hit over the head and robbed of a bag containing his mobile phone and documents by two men in Fanling. The man, 54, was in Yat Ming Road when he was attacked at about 2pm.

There was no first-prize winner in last night's draw so $5 million will be added to the jackpot on Tuesday. The numbers were 8, 28, 33, 36, 38 and 47. The extra number was 2. Three tickets each won the second prize of $294,040. Third prize paid $9,600.
