Aftershave lotion

Shaving can cause dry skin, infection and inflammation, but applying the right amount of aftershave lotion helps prevent these problems. A good aftershave lotion refreshes, disinfects and soothes the skin. Wearing an aftershave with a pleasant fragrance can be a great attraction for girls.

Clinique post-shave healer ($185/75ml)

An excellent aftershave moisturiser. The skin feels soft and cool after application. It's unperfumed but its smell is not very appealing.

Biotherm Homme razor burn eliminator ($150/100ml)

Its slight alcohol content combined with a subtle refreshing smell soothes and moisturises the skin instantly. The fluid itself is rather sticky while applying, but is absorbed quickly.

Mario Badescu before and after shave moisturiser ($268/2oz or 56.7g)

This is a peanut-based product. It leaves a long-lasting soothing sensation. It is also odourless. Excellent.

Body Shop aftershave gel with camomile ($95/100ml)

This smooth gel leaves a nice, soft, cooling feeling on the skin, but takes a while to absorb. It is not perfumed (which is good) but its initial smell is not appealing at all. Another good thing: it's not tested on animals.

Biotherm Homme aquatic lotion after-shave for normal skin ($230/100ml)

This lotion with a smooth and non-sticky texture is quickly absorbed by the skin, even sensitive skin. The moisturising effect is satisfying and the light fragrance is refreshing.

Mario Badescu electric shaving lotion ($168/4oz or 113.4g)

A slick and soothing shave moisturiser that keeps the beard area fresh and cool. Its smell is quite unappealing but the liquid is very effective for dry skin.
