Premier takes Hyde Park in his stride
A hectic schedule for Premier Wen Jiabao started yesterday with an early-morning walk in London's Hyde Park.
Accompanied by half a dozen embassy staff and British security agents, Mr Wen spent about half an hour strolling. 'I have this habit of taking a walk in the morning,' he said.
'It is because I usually get up early. This is the second time that I have had a walk in the morning [on this tour],' he added.
A member of the premier's entourage said Mr Wen, 62, liked going for walks and had also managed to fit in a morning stroll when in Brussels last week.
'I heard that the premier had time for a walk in the morning. It makes me very tired even to think about it,' one of his European hosts said.
Mr Wen is known for setting a punishing pace during his overseas visits, fitting in a full schedule of meetings and public appearances. He makes little time for activities such as sightseeing.
