A kidney patient whose health recently deteriorated plunged to his death from a public housing block in Tai Po. The man, 55, was found by a security guard on a first-floor canopy at Tsui Wo House, Tai Wo Estate, at about 5.30am.

A man, 48, was arrested for allegedly stealing 116 packs of cigarettes and nine packs of chewing gum, worth $3,000, from a newspaper stall in Kwai Chung. He was intercepted by officers in Ko Fong Street shortly after 2.30am.
