The vegetables here are done al dente, meaning they are just cooked and still firm when served. The halloumi (lightly browned goat's cheese) and greens ($95) is tasty and wholesome, while fresh zaatar ($85), a traditional Lebanese mix of thyme, sesame seed and sumac blended with olive oil, on flatbread with avocados, tomato and cucumber, is a vegan dish that is refreshing and satisfying. But we found a surprise in the African ground nut stew ($105), which consists of sweet potatoes cooked in a mildly spiced peanut sauce with wilted spinach and fresh coriander, and served with a side of quinoas. Its clean, slightly sweet taste is delicious on its own or mixed with the stew. Topping the experience is a range of juice combos and the option of rooftop dining.

Executive chef Jeffrey Le Bon believes organic greens have a crisper texture. Two of his favourite salad dishes are Greek salad (with artichokes, cucumbers, cubanelle peppers, kalamata olives, feta cheese and crispy pita bread, $105) and grilled prawn and walnut salad (with mango, sweet basil pea sprouts and sesame vinaigrette, $128). The green leaves in both are organic.

This fine food store has recently imported organic beef by Dutch company Frisian Holsteniver. The animals are raised without antibiotics or growth hormones and fed with chemical-free grass. The meat is exclusive to City Super in Hong Kong. Prices per 100 grams: rib eye $38, striploin $35 and tenderloin $45.
