Age no barrier to beefs over Harbour Fest

Now for an item best filed under the 'Kids Say the Darndest Things' file.

All the entries are in for CitySeen's haiku competition, in which we asked readers to send in haikus explaining why they think the organisers of Harbour Fest should give back the money spent on the event.The response was overwhelming and we're still deciding on winners, who will be announced later this week.

For now, we'll leave you with a few entries from a class of eight- and nine-year-olds taught by Tom Nevin of Kellett School in Wah Fu.

Harbour Fest was a

Big, long mess

Strolling Bones played,

Lots of fuss was made!

Owen, aged nine

We want the dollars,

Some people are very poor,
