Hong Kong's deaf drama group Theatre of the Silence (TOS) and the San Francisco Mime Troupe will stage My Red Dress, a play based on Loung Ung's memoir First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers, from June 3 to June 5 at the Hong Kong Arts Centre.

The drama production, which is part of the Faust Festival 2004, tells the story of a girl whose childhood and family were destroyed in Cambodia's killing fields.

Under the direction of Dan Chumley, deaf and speaking actors will bring to life both the horrid and the touching scenes that this child experienced during the war through expressive body movements and exceptional dialogue.

Visit www.FaustFestival.com for details. Tickets are $160 and $100 (students, seniors and people with disabilities) from HK Ticketing online or by calling 3128 8288.
