Lyric writers are encouraged to show their creativity using two new melodies written by singer-songwriters Paul Wong Koon-chung and Gigi Leung Wing-kei.

Organised by Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong (CASH), the CASH Lyric Writing Competition has an open group division and a student group for secondary and university students.

All entries should reach CASH by July 5, with final judging being held on August 22. The entry fee is $30.

The winner in each group for each melody will receive a $1,000 cash prize, a $1,000 Tom Lee Music certificate, and a trophy. The merit award winners will receive $500 in cash and a trophy.

Application forms are available at Tom Lee Music stores, Breakthrough Book Gallery in Harbour City and the CASH office. Music scores can be downloaded from www.cash.org.hk. All entry fees will go to Unicef.
