A shop owner fought off a man he said attacked him with a stun gun in his Cheung Sha Wan office during a robbery. The man, 52, was attacked from behind inside the ground-floor dental products shop in Castle Peak Road after a man posing as a client entered at 10am. He told police he felt an electric shock when the attacker pointed a torch-like object in his back, but he still managed to put up a struggle. Police said the would-be robber punched the victim and then fled empty-handed. The victim was treated by an ambulance crew but refused to go to hospital.

Woman fails breath test after car crash

A woman was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after her Mercedes-Benz crashed in Kowloon Bay. The woman, 39, lost control of her car and rammed an embankment on the Kwun Tong Bypass just after 1.30am. She escaped injury and was arrested after failing a breath test. She was released on $5,000 bail.
