The food
The interview took place at Eden, a French restaurant in Wan Chai with a lovely view of Victoria Harbour.
Pan-fried Foie Gras with port-wine sauce ($88)
Rating: 4.5/5
Lam: The goose liver is fresh and juicy and melts in your mouth. It is cooked just right - slightly crisp. The sauce is very balanced. I have seldom been served such a nice goose liver dish. Its presentation is appealing as well.
Irish Baileys mousse cake ($38)
Rating: 3/5
L: It looks mouthwatering but lacks coffee flavour. An average dessert.
Regular coffee ($28)
Rating: 2/5
L: Its aroma is okay, but it's not thick enough. It's probably fine for most customers.
Latte ($32)
Rating: 3/5
YP: It is not hot enough - it took too long for the sugar to melt. The coffee to milk ratio is fine.
Overall
Rating: 4/5
L: A beautiful restaurant doesn't mean it's good. But I like the way they have created such a lovely atmosphere with simple decor.
