Some people are football crazy, others are addicted to computer games, but for students at the Sunny English Club in Yuen Long it's the love of dinosaurs that rocks their world.

The club's fifth dinosaur figure painting, drawing and composition contest runs until August. Students at the school have won prizes in a North American version of the contest for two years running.

'There is so much for young people to learn about dinosaurs that they can't learn just by looking at pictures,' said the club's contest organiser, Fanny Lee.

'It's a very academic subject in Hong Kong and we want to bring it to life through a fun and creative competition,' Ms Lee said. 'Dinosaurs bring art to your life. They create happiness through creativity. We want children to learn all about dinosaurs.'

Ms Lee says the aim of the contest is to encourage creative thinking, and to be an imagination exchange with the rest of the world.

'We invite all kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools from all over the world to send in their designs,' she said.
