Learning is out of this world
Quick. What is the biggest planet in the solar system? C'mon, any kid will tell you the answer is Jupiter, and will probably add the fact that Jupiter is bigger than Saturn plus all the other planets put together.
Field trips to sky shows like 'Exploring Giant Planets' at the Hong Kong Space Museum allow children to have fun, learn and pursue big dreams.
Lawrence Ho, an 11-year-old from Tsuen Wan, has seen the show three times. 'I want to learn everything about outer space because I want to be the first person from Hong Kong to go up in a spacecraft,' he says.
With two screenings daily, the 40-minute show explores the two largest planets and their satellites and gives a brief introduction to the formation of the solar system. Coinciding with the sky show is an exhibition 'Exploring Giant Planets'.
Tickets are available at the Space Museum Box Office, and prices range from $24 to $32. Students get in for half-price and the museum is closed on Tuesdays. The show runs until November 15 - don't let those little rascals have all the fun!
