Fuji Xerox on the hunt for resourceful salespeople

A leader in its field in Hong Kong, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) markets and services a full range of knowledge and document management products, solutions and services.

The company is seeking resourceful individuals for the posts of sales executive and account executive.

'We have numerous openings in different lines of business to serve a variety of customer segments and accounts,' said recruitment and employee relations manager Connie Luan.

Some of these sales positions are office-bound, requiring staff to build relationships from their desks and develop business over the telephone.

However, most of the positions on offer are suited to candidates who are comfortable spending much of their time on outdoor sales.

'[Successful candidates] must propose and provide knowledge and document management solutions at the customer's office,' Ms Luan said.

Although a Form 7 education is a minimum requirement, ideal candidates would do well to come armed with a university degree.

One to five years' experience in direct sales and fluency in Cantonese and English are also vital requirements to get a foot in the door.

'We're looking for people who are resourceful, results-orientated and self-motivated ... and able to work under high pressure,' Ms Luan said.

Sales positions at the company bring rich rewards, particularly in terms of training opportunities and career development.

Along with all other new staff, sales professionals receive very comprehensive training, including in sales, negotiation skills, consultative selling skills, information technology and presentation skills.

Fuji Xerox also offers employees the chance to work with customers from a range of industries and encounter different businesses, both within and outside the company.

Finally, the positions should appeal to those determined to develop long-term careers in sales management, due to Fuji Xerox's clear-cut career path.

Prospects for advancement up the career ladder are rich for committed employees who excel at their work.

'Junior sales staff join the telemarketing team or small and medium enterprise group, then go on to key and major accounts and to enterprise solutions,' Ms Luan said.

Sales and account executives can move up to become specialists with a focus on products or to become team managers, with the focus on managing people and a broad business perspective.
