Perfect package for touring hypochondriacs

Quinton Chan

You'd have to have sneaking suspicions about a holiday package that has a 'special offer' like one in a recent advertisement.

Wing On Travel was promoting six- and eight-day tours to Tibet for $6,399. The travel company said a main feature of the package was that a doctor would accompany the intrepid travellers in the event that any tourists were stricken by altitude sickness.

The company said it was meeting the extra costs of the medico in order to make its clients feel 'comfortable'.

Sounds like fun. Maybe next time they'll be offering discount holidays to Baghdad with hostage negotiators thrown in.
